Letting Go
We all know that the majority’s favorite line is “Just let it go”.
That phrase can make or break a conversation almost immediately; especially when we are expressing a stressor, struggle, questionable vibe, or difficult emotion. Trust us when we at Clarity and Wellness say, we totally get it! The statement is totally cliche’, however it does hold some weight.
Releasing anger, pain, fear, disappointment…etc, can be really difficult; especially if these are things that have been consistently weighing on us for some time. Generally most people have “things” that we need to just release in whatever way is the healthiest for us.
Releasing or as some may call it “letting go”, is about alleviating all doubt, fear, stress, hurt, and worry about a person or situation. Basically anything that is weighing on you and affecting your daily living or as the cool kids say…. “messing with your mental”.
There is nothing like a fresh space or a new beginning to boost your greatness.
How good does it feel to be doing something fun like being on a boat, bike, or a ride, and you feel nothing but sunshine and cool breeze on your person; all while your hands are in the air? (Ayeeeeeee)
That is what releasing should feel like; after all the red tape of our emotions of course. The question is how do we get there, and how do we support others without being insensitive and usIng cliche’ phrases?
Just be there! Allow the person to tell you what they need, be a listening ear and let them guide you in the ways they require and not just the ways you deem fit. Trust me, they’ll appreciate the support.
We all need to declutter our minds. Don’t let the bad experiences haunt you.
Releasing takes time. Whether it’s the random knick knacks we collect along the way of life or something serious that has affected our mental space. The point is, don’t let anyone rush your journey, because it’s YOURS. Trust yourself to know when you need to “let go”. Whatever it is, release it when YOUR moment arrives; and that’s what we call growth!
